On the fifth day morning we packed our lunches, found our warm clothes and embarged on great discovery. We wanted to compare how treatment of animals in UK compares to our countries. We visited Woodside sanctuary too meet with local staff and check how happy animal are. Here are some photos by our participants.
After the visit, we came back to conference room to talk a bit more about media. David wanted to show us how to approach media, how to be prepared and how to react to journalist question. Or in generall how to write your own press release. Each of the participants was asked to come up with idea for press relase, possibly related to their organisation. For the next task, David collected four participants and seated them in front of everyone. The team leader of the Bulgarian team, actually a seasoned journalist, asked them all different question about their jobs and organisations. To better prepared them, in case one day they have to face press conference. Talking with media is very important for NGOs and charities. To spread the message, to help with funding, you need to create great relatinship with your audiences and supporters. To help the animals we take care of.
