At the beginning of the project, its always important to get to know each other and especially our organisations. Because, most of the participants came directly from animal welfare organisation, we were glad we could see their work and get to know their organisations.
Milobendzchi Carmen, from Romania presented their organisation The Nature - A Heritage for the Future, one of the most successful animal rescue charities in the country. They have a great success rate of dog adoption all over Europe. Once a year they have meeting, when owners come and share their experiences and tell everyone how happy are they with heir new dog friends.

Czech youth organisation Dům dětí a mládeže hl. m. Prahy made a presentation about their projects at Stanice přírodovědců (Bio-science station) in Prague. You can check what they do on their website and also on their Facebook page. While they primarily work as commual space for children, they have many activities related to animal welfare, research and education. In their amazing garden and zoo station, they care for many different types of animals, so kids can get to know them and learn about their habitats. Check some of their pictures under.

Slovakian group made presentation about the biggest animal welfare charity in the country. Sloboda Zvierat is the most successful animal charity in Slovakia, with widespread programme and activities. They have shelters all over the country and many volunteers helping them with caring for animals or fundraising. They also have lot of new project every year, for example castration of dogs in Roma communities, rabies prevention, protection of street cats. They also have interesting webpage called Stories from shelters, where new owners of adapted pets post their stories.
